What To Do If Your Landlord Is Selling Your HouseIf you have found yourself in the situation where your landlord is selling your house, you may think that this is a time to worry or even panic.

After all, you like the home you live in, you are settled and the family are happy.

But does the sale of the property affect you in any way?

The most important thing to consider, should you find yourself in this situation is that you have a tenancy agreement in place.

As Trudie from LCF Residential explains in this video

Summary

If you do have a tenancy agreement in place and it has been drawn up correctly then as a tenant, the sale of the property does not impact upon your right to occupy the premises.

The new owner would simply become your landlord.

However, if you do not have a tenancy agreement in place or are our unsure what your tenancy agreement says about the situation it is important to remain calm and to try not to panic as this will be a rare occurrence and is not a common problem.

But equally, it is very important that you seek immediate legal advice to check your position.

At LCF Residential we deal with tenancy agreements on a regular basis and can assist you should
you find yourself in this predicament.
